He’s still finishing the remake’s engine, but he’s already spent at least a year working on the game. Renato plans to release a demo ROM soon, and eventually hopes to put out the game as episodes in English.
Though he says this is purely a fan project, he has also talked with Ubisoft and Tectoy Digital about possibly releasing the game through (I doubt Sega will allow this).
